The DCS-2120 offers both consumers and small businesses a flexible and convenient way to remotely monitor a home or office in real time from anywhere within a mobile phone’s 3G service area. When used in conjunction with the email alert system, mobile users can now view a camera feed without a notebook PC and wireless hotspot. This live video feed can then be accessed through 3G cellular networks by compatible cell phones. In addition to cellular phone monitoring, the 3GPP/ISMA video format also
enables streaming playback on a computer. The camera is also viewable from any
Internet Streaming Media Alliance (ISMA) compatible device and offers support
for RealPlayer® 10.5 and QuickTime® 6.5 viewing. The DCS-2120 supports resolutions up to 640x480 at up to 30fps using compression rates.
